Questions about a piece, a pair, or a hole size

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK. Weekend messages are answered the next working day.

Paint the piece into the wall
Choose a natural cast or primed white finish where offered. Leave the piece white, or paint it with ordinary emulsion to match your room. Each product page shows the finishes available.
Plaster, reinforced.
Fibreglass reinforced plaster
Every piece is cast in fibreglass reinforced composite plaster. It holds the matt surface, the crisp arris and the paintability of traditional plaster, and adds the strength to take a wall fixing and last.
Faint pores and hand marks are part of a cast piece rather than a fault in one.
Drawn to be read at three metres
Decorative plaster is read at distance, in raking light. What the eye registers is not ornament but the shadow the section throws, so each design is resolved as a profile before it is anything else.

Designed, cast and finished in the Shrewsbury studio. Every piece is checked before it leaves.
Up in an afternoon
Battery wall lights need no wiring at all. Mains fittings should be wired in by a qualified electrician.
Mark and fix
Wall lights hang from a single screw. Roses and overdoors are set with adhesive and mechanical fixings suited to the ceiling or wall.
Hang or press
Hook the light onto the fixing, or press the piece into place and support it while it takes.
Fill and paint
Fill the outer edge where needed, seal the plaster, then finish in standard interior emulsion.

Designs are drawn, moulded and cast in the studio, then finished and checked before they leave. Not imported, not warehoused in volume.

Solid centre, or a 50 mm hole?
Take 50 mm if you are dressing an existing pendant fitting and the canopy needs to pass through. Take solid if there is no pendant, or if the size is still unknown. Unsure? Send a photograph of the fitting on WhatsApp.
Do I need an electrician?
Not for the battery LED option, which runs on a remote and needs no wiring. Mains E14 versions connect to an existing wall fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Can I paint it?
Yes. Pieces arrive unpainted. Seal the plaster first, then finish in two thin coats of standard interior emulsion, working the brush out of the detail rather than into it.
