Fibreglass reinforced composite plaster. It keeps the matt mineral surface and the paintability of traditional plaster, and adds the strength to take a wall fixing and last. Faint pores and hand marks are part of a cast piece.

Roses are offered two ways. Solid centre, no hole for decorative use, or where an electrician will size the opening on site. 50 mm centre hole, cut here in the studio, for dressing an existing pendant fitting where the canopy, flex and rose nut pass through the cast.

50 mm is not a cable-only hole: a bare flex needs far less, and a wide canopy needs more. Any other opening is a studio request rather than an option at checkout, so ask before you order. Send a photograph of the fitting on WhatsApp and you will get a straight answer.

Yes, and most people do. Pieces are supplied unpainted. Cast plaster is porous, so seal it first with a mist coat or primer, then finish in two thin coats of standard interior emulsion. Work the brush out of the detail rather than into it, or the relief fills.

Not for the battery LED option, which runs on a remote and needs no wiring at all. The mains version connects to an existing wall point and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Wall lights come with the fixing and, on the battery option, an integrated LED and remote control. Batteries are not included. The mains option is supplied with a dimmable E14 UK bulb and the internal clip-on bracket. Cover-only versions are supplied without a light source.

Yes, with the right fixing. Fix into a stud where you can, or use a plasterboard anchor rated comfortably above the weight of the piece. Cast plaster is heavier than it looks.

Diameter is set against ceiling height and the drop of the fitting. In a standard room, 11 to 13 inches usually sits right; go larger for high ceilings and smaller for hallways and landings. Send the room and the studio will advise.

Usually, but measure first. Give the studio the diameter of what is already up there, plus a photograph, and you will get a straight yes or no rather than a guess. A piece chosen to cover something is chosen on that measurement, not on looks alone.

Yes. Pieces cast in the same edition sit closest to one another, so say at the outset how many you need rather than ordering singly and adding later.

Pieces are made to order, and dispatch times are shown on each product page. UK delivery is free and usually arrives 2 to 5 working days after dispatch.

Battery versions and cover-only versions ship internationally. Mains versions are supplied to UK specification. Customs duties, import taxes and local handling charges are payable by the customer unless stated otherwise at checkout.

You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you want to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the piece back. If a piece arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days with photographs and we will replace or refund it in full. Full terms are in the Returns and Refunds Policy.
