Ornament that behaves like architecture
Most decorative lighting announces itself. It arrives in a finish you did not choose, in a material that belongs to no room in particular, and it sits on the wall as an object placed there.
Flare works the other way. Pieces are cast unpainted so they can be finished in the wall colour and read as part of the building. The form does the work; the colour disappears into the room.

Flare Studio was founded on a straightforward observation: the decorative plasterwork available for ordinary British rooms was either disposable or unobtainable, and very little of it was made here.
Each design begins as a drawing and is worked up until the profile reads properly from across a room. A master is made, a mould taken, and the piece is cast, dressed back and checked in the Shrewsbury studio before it leaves.

Left unfinished on purpose
Pieces arrive unpainted. Seal and finish them in the wall colour so they read as architecture, or leave the cast surface as it is.

Editions are released as they are cast. Dispatch times are shown on each piece, and UK delivery is free.

Working with the studio
Flare Studio supplies designers and specifiers working on residential and hospitality interiors. Pieces can be cast as matched pairs or sets, and dimensions and centre openings can be confirmed before you specify.
Bespoke sizes and adapted profiles are possible on some designs. Send the room, the fitting and the quantity and you will get a straight answer on what is possible and when.
